"Without the dark, we'd never see the stars"

I'm just a simple 29 year-old that wants to talk about stuff...

Before college graduation, the majority of my writing was dedicated to lengthy research papers and crisp job application emails. While the writing styles for each were important skills to master, I lost my muse. It became so repetitive, impersonal, and quite frankly it drained the passion out of me. Before college itself, most of my writing was dedicated to songwriting and poetry. There's just something special about making a clever, poetic statement in a rhyming form. From time to time the song ideas will come to me, but there are an infinite number of other topics I must get off my chest.

In early August 2015, I packed my bags and flew to a foreign country I didn't know existed until 3 months prior - Slovenia. Since age 10, my life began to revolve around training and competing in volleyball. Once my mental game caught up with my limbs, the improvement skyrocketed. After playing all those years on my school teams and travel club teams, I was approached by a trainer of mine whom introduced me to the opportunity of playing overseas. He then connected me with a U.S. promotion company that hosts a tryout every year in Slovenia for American players interested in playing at the international level. Long story short, I signed with a team in Luxembourg after college and since then have expanded my views of the world.
