This Had to Happen

These are beautiful moments.

The time we have now with our loved ones, although mandatory... necessary. The time we have alone now... an opportunity.

Here we are finally opening our eyes and our hearts to the world we live in.

What can I CONTROL?

What can I GIVE?

How can I GROW from this?

I can finally read that book I've wanted to read for a long time. Your dog doesn't feel neglected these days because you're working from home. My fiancé and I have more time to talk about our goals, our thoughts, and just hang out with each other. I'm more aware than ever before of my health, and how I can improve it. (yes!)

These moments are precious.

I look outside my sunny window after 5 o'clock (P.S. cheers, it's happy hour) on a Sunday after my first full week of a different life, and I understand. I can finally see why this has to happen.

• Our Earth is on fire.

• Our families are together, but not together.

• Our energy is spent more on what we can get, rather than what we have or what we can give.

• We work all day and slowly watch the weeks go by.

• Our politicians are lacking leadership.

• We spend more free time looking at a screen than the person/people we live with.

We are lost.

And now, humanity as a whole has the chance to show its true colors. Do we seek the company of others and social interaction? ~ Do we value our bodies and minds enough to fill them with positivity and nutritious content? ~ Do we need time for ourselves after all? ~ Is mental health a priority? ~ How do I truly seek fulfillment?

These are all valid questions, to which we already have the answers. We're lucky enough to have the time now to discover it.

Embrace the challenges now for a stronger, better future. Who knows? Maybe we can become better humans from it all. We will never take our freedoms for granted again.
